My Name Is You
My Name Is You is a good example of how life (and faith?) can bring two people together.
Brandon and Anne met in College in California but they never talked about making music together. Upon graduating, Brandon decided to produce music. He worked with renowned singers like Joshua Radin, Greg Laswell, Cary Brothers and many more.
Anne however left for Kenya where she taught music and worked in an orphanage.
Time passed and they met again while Brandon was touring and Anne had moved to Scotland. Then they decided to work together and a year later, their first EP was born.
How can we not thank fate, destiny or whatever you want to call it?
Their first EP "My Name is You" was out in 2011 and was followed by a full-lenght album in 2013. It is musically rich, colourful and sweet and tasteful.
Some of their songs like "Come Back" were heard on TV shows like NCIS or 90210.
I really like what comes out of this collaboration. They know how to combine different textures and sounds. And I really like the dreamy effect their songs have. It's like one is in another world when one listens to their music. I have to say, it is rather cinematic as well andit is perfect for movies or TV series!
